Our last week has been filled with fun times with friends, a visit to Main Street in Grapevine with lots of holiday fun, another visit with Santa Claus and lately, just staying indoors to try and keep warm. Griffin continues to be such a joy to be around all day long. He is truly such a great gift- who needs anything else!!! This past week Griffin has started using the word "Uh Oh" quite often. I am not sure he understands that we say that as a cause and effect "Uh Oh"- when we drop something, etc., he just likes to say "Uh Oh" to anything right now- it sounds so sweet!!! More on milestones at his 14 month update, coming soon... Enjoy pictures from this last week...

Was that fun or what?
"Merry Christmas"

We walked along Main Street, it was a great day to get out and enjoy the holiday spirit in Grapevine. We had hoped to do The Polar Express, but the next train was not to depart until 8:30. Oh well! I think Griffin will get more out of it next year when he is older anyway... We decided to go have a yummy dinner at Napoli's and then watch some of the light show instead. Our little Italian man enjoyed fettucini alfredo! Ciao'
Some of the beautiful lights timed to Christmas music at the Gazebo
breakfast with santa ~ sunday, december 14th
Our church had Breakfast with Santa after Mass on Sunday. Griffin, once again, got to sit on Santa's lap for a picture. We get to see the beautiful photo next week when we can pick it up after Mass. We opted not to stay for breakfast since it was just Mama and Griffin- maybe next year!
and then the cold front blew in...
It was around 80 degrees when we left church and around kickoff for the Cowboys game, which was at 7:30, I took out the trash to find that the temperature had dropped quite a bit... Little did we know that wind outside kept pushing in the cold air, and soon we would be in the 20's!!! Griffin and I have been staying inside and playing with his toys. He LOVES anything with wheels these days... And it is too funny to watch him as he gets down really low and plays on the floor. He loves getting a closer look!
"Choo! Choo!"
Surrounded by his wheels... G is content as can be!

Dinner was a bit of a mess Sunday night... Lately, peas have not been on Griffin's Top Ten List- He does this thing, when he does not like food, of rubbing his eyes- maybe to show us "Oh I am so tired of eating ______"- anyway, he made a MESS of himself on Sunday and went straight from the highchair to the tub- which is not the norm around here.
green chicken pox, maybe?
playdate with friends ~ monday, december 15th

While the majority of Griffin's friends from church were decorating sugar cookies, Griffin preferred to push around this FUN shopping cart. He loved putting stuff inside and just pushing it around! I did get him to sit in my lap to decorate two cookies, but he had much more fun playing with the toys. Does he go grocery shopping with Mama too often maybe???

Well, we have been bundled up inside since yesterday at noon! It is 27 degrees here and several local school districts (not ours) are closed today. It took Carter over an hour and a half to get to work. We hope wherever you are, you are snuggled up and warm too!
