WARNING!!! You are about to see a lot of pictures in this post- but hey, it is good to be busy, right???? From birthday parties, to playdates with buddies to lunches and outings with friends on Spring Break and just getting out in general to enjoy the most beautiful weather... Griffin has been a busy boy over the past week- and in between it all, he turned seventeen months old yesterday- we talked about it coming up and then as busy as we were, did not even realize that it came and went yesterday until Nana sent an email last night wishing Griffin a Happy 17 Month Birthday! Oooooopss!!! Here are some highlights from our last week....

Griffin having fun with Daddy in the bounce house at Noah's 3rd Birthday Party (Saturday, March 14th)

No nap that day since the the birthday party was at 2:00 in Dallas- but Griffin did manage to fall asleep in the car on our way to the next destination... That quick little cat nap gave him enough energy to tie him over the rest of the evening...

On to Auntie Hollers and Uncle Thaddeus's house for dinner- Griffin just loves his Auntie Hollers- especially since she had a bag of cars and airplanes waiting for him to play with when we got there. They made a fantastic dinner and we enjoyed spending time over there together- Did I mention Griffin was still going strong at almost 10:00? We never keep him up past 9:00, so without a nap- this was great for him! He did not even sleep on the way home, but slept great that night once we put him down for bed.

Hanging out in his favorite corner in the study with books, puzzles and his cars of course!

Arboretum (Visit Number 2) We went with Jill, Noah & Avery and Jaclyn & Gannon on Thursday, March 19th. The weather was perfect for getting outside to see the pretty flowers.

Unfortunately Mommy had not charged the battery the night before, so I was having to turn on the camera and then quickly snapping a picture and then shutting it off right away- not much prep time for the subject :-)

Curious about the Daffodils

Sweet Little Boy

On Friday, we met Nell and Ezra in Fort Worth and decided to head to a really neat little park adjacent to The Botanical Gardens. It was very kid-friendly and had a lot of 'hands on' things to explore along the trail. Griffin got down on the path to run and was instantly excited!

Ezra and Griffin 'Little Explorers'

So excited to check things out

Griffin loves to hug his friends- although this one was a little powerful...

Hmmmmm, what shall I do next?

Kicking it on the big tree stump

Buddies

Ezra loved crawling through the tree trunk tunnel

While Griffin loved picking up the wood chips off the sidewalk and putting them where they belonged

Always stop to smell the flowers

Mmmmmmmmmmm!

Griffin and Daddy

Helping Mommy Spring Clean and pack up clothes we are growing out of... he did not want me to pack away the pumpkin costume though and kept hugging it saying, 'Awwwww' (it was too cute)
We also enjoyed our monthly playdate with Hudson and Avery on Monday (sorry, no pictures this month) and lunch with one of our favorite Cottonwood Creek families- The Coleman's on Tuesday (again, sorry for no pictures) and lunch with Miss Erica and Miss Jennifer on Thursday--- all in all, it was a good week for Griffin!!
Look at Me!! I turned 17 months old on March 22nd! Here are some of the things I am understanding today... I still have a LOVE for cars, anything with wheels, really! I am such a good boy- Mommy and Daddy think I am absolutely perfect and love me more than anything... Pause the background music, turn up your volume and enjoy watching me!

Thats my boy! He takes after his Uncle for the cars.
What a fun week! I love the hug between he and Ezra...too funny!!
So fun to see you and Griffin last week! It's always so neat for me to hear what you guys have going on and how our boys are so similar in what they are doing and learning. You'll be happy to know that we finally did get in a train ride on Saturday. Next time I'll get the times right for us! And thanks for sharing these pictures! That one of Ezra and Griffin cracks me up. Mostly because I think it was Ezra who charged after Griffin but it looks like it's Griffin who is giving the super powerful hug. he he he. And the one where they are on the tree stump -- I think it looks like Ezra is riding a bull. Funny little boys!
I love the picture of him reading in his special spot, so cute!
