Griffin right after he was baptized- he was so sweet!

On January 6, 2008, Griffin was baptized at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with family and friends and the church there as his witness. What a beautiful January day it was, as the sun was shining and the temperatures climbed to nearly 80 degrees! Mommy and Daddy were honored to stand before the church and profess our commitment to Christ and promise to raise Griffin with Christian faith. Griffin did great through Mass, he was wide awake from the moment we arrived and did not get fussy until the end when he was starting to get hungry (and tired). We chose Kara (Mommy's cousin and sister 'at heart') to be Griffin's Godmother and Tyler (Daddy's younger brother) to be Griffin's Godfather. They also promised to lead Griffin through their Christian ways. The gown that Griffin wore has been passed through his Mommy's family for almost 30 years. The slip underneath the gown is embroidered with all of the names and birthdates of the children who have been baptized in it going as far back as Uncle Chris, Mommy's brother. Here are a few pictures of Griffin on this glorious day!
