Friends and First Fourth of July

Last week I went over to my buddy, Ezra's, house for a playdate. Mommy and Ezra's Mommy, Nell, went to school together and have been friends for many years growing up. Nell and Mommy are always at similar points in their lives from teaching to getting married to having their first baby so they always have a lot to talk about along with just catching up on old times... Ezra is just 2 months older than me so we have a lot of fun together too- my buddy Ezra is moving around so fast these days- he showed Mommy what she has to look forward to before too long! Nell (aka 'Cowtown Cameragirl') took a couple of pictures before Ezra went down for his nap- We can't wait for our next get together when we have Ezra and Nell over to our house!

Thank you for sharing your high chair with me Ezra J.!

This Fourth of July our neighborhood held a Barbecue and Family Picnic. It was SO hot, so we did not stay for very long. The highlight of the picnic was Griffin meeting the firemen and sitting on the firetruck.

Happy Fourth of July!!!

After leaving our neighborhood picnic, we headed to Grapevine to meet up with Mommy's Aunt Cindy and her new grandchildren, Kadyn and Hunter. They came up for the long weekend to have a big family gathering in Mansfield, where Kadyn's mommy and daddy live.

To wrap up our day, we went over to Barb and Larry Whisenant's house for dinner and swimming- what a great way to cool off after a long, hot day! We had fun hanging out with all of the Whisenant Family. We did not make it to see fireworks this year, Griffin went straight to bed when we got home and he slept through some of the loudest fireworks!

It was so good to see you and Griffin! Again, I was so impressed that Griffin was so chill and just easy going while we ate our lunch. (Thank you for sharing some of your sandwich with Ezra! ha!)

Looks like y'all had a fun (and super busy!) 4th of July! The firetruck pictures are too cute! I especially like the one where Griffin is sitting inside the truck. Great perspective!
